International Guitar Festival 2007!

Hello everyone!
first time posting, hope it dont look too ugly... anyway, this news goes out to ALL guitarist! including seniors! have to thank Schezn for informing us about this.

There is a International Guitar Festival coming very soon this december. guitarists around the world will be coming over to perform. there is also an international guitar competition! The following are two of the many performances. i only put this two cause i asked Mr Toh for suggestion and he pointed this two for us. There are many others. We can even go watch the final of the competition! all the information is on SISTIC. Just thought we can go for a concert after all the As and stuff as a guitar ensemble. Tag if you can make it!

btw, there is a discount for students 18 years-old and below.... 10 % discount... haha.

OSCAR GUZMÁN started his guitar studies with "El Moro", Mario Cortes and Manolo Franco. His career as a guitar soloist began at an international level which brings him to five continents such as I Festival de Guitarra de Buenos Aires ( Argentina ), Festival Internacional de la Guitarra ( Lima , Peru ), Darwin Guitar Festival ( Australia ), just to name some.In August 2000 he was invited to perform a guitar concert at the "V Flamenco Festival im Sommergarten des Pfefferberg" in Berlin ( Germany ) where he had the special collaboration of Pepe de Lucia. Born in Rio de Janeiro , Zé Paulo Becker graduated in Music at Uni-Rio and holds a Master´s degree in Guitar from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Zé Paulo was awarded first prize at the Concurso Nacional Villa-Lobos (1990).He is a member of Trio Madeira Brasil, a band that stood out at the 1999´s Free Jazz Festival. As a guitar soloist, Zé Paulo recorded the CD Lendas Brasileiras [Folk Tales of Brazil] based on popular themes. In March 2004, he launched two CDs in Europe on Luz Azul label, and went on a tour through ten different towns in France.Um Violão na Roda de Choro [A guitar at a Choro circle], his latest CD by Biscoito Fino label, was considered one of the best of the year (2006) by a Jornal do Brasil´s poll.
